Spin Galvanizing
Spin Galvanizing is the process of immersing cleaned iron or steel in molten zinc to provide it with a protective coating. This process works differently to other plating methods and the result is a unique alloy that makes the coating effectively part of the metal object. The finished product becomes highly resistant to mechanical damage due to these alloy layers, greatly reducing the time and money spent on cosmetic repairs.
The long term durability provided by galvanizing has a relatively low environmental impact compared to the repeated maintenance painting of steel. The galvanized metals can realistically last for more than a hundred years without the need for maintenance.
